With a foundation in contemporary architecture and a long-standing inclination towards climate-responsive design, ecology, and natural systems, Neha Jain eventually immersed herself in the world of natural building and bamboo architecture. This journey led her through diverse learning environments and craft cultures — from Auroville to immersive bamboo workshops in Bali, along with explorations across Northeast India and Asia — gradually shaping a design philosophy deeply rooted in sensitivity towards nature, materiality, and human experience.

At the heart of this philosophy lies the belief that architecture must create spaces that feel alive — spaces that reconnect people to stillness, beauty, and the sensory richness of the natural world. Rather than treating nature as an external element, landscape, light, air, texture, water, and biodiversity become integral to how spaces are conceived and experienced.

Beauty, within this approach, is not seen as decoration but as something embedded within the very bones of architecture — in proportion, atmosphere, craftsmanship, and the relationship between built form and land. The intention is to create environments that feel breathable, emotionally resonant, immersive, and deeply human.

Bamboo became an important medium within this exploration — not merely as a sustainable material, but as a way of building with nature rather than against it. Equally important is the belief that architecture should emerge from its context, honouring the ecology, cultural identity, and memory of a place instead of replacing it with homogenized global aesthetics.

This philosophy continues to shape the creative direction of Ekarth Studio — balancing contemporary living with warmth, environmental consciousness, craftsmanship, and a sense of wonder. The approach remains rooted in creating spaces that restore a deeper connection between people, place, and the quiet magic woven into everyday life.
